Experience
Pleasantly simple in design, with a modern Mediterranean feel, space is used effectively in the apartments with cosy seating and work areas, plus bathrooms presented in various formats. But, of course you are in south Albania and things to see and discover are many. Dhërmi has become one of the country’s hotspots. On one side, the old village stretches away, the rippling bulk of Çika mountain rising precipitously above it. On the other, the captivating blue of the Ionian Sea. Two of the loveliest beaches in the country are ten minutes drive away from the retreat: Dhërmi beach with its long stretches of white pebble and clubs, and Drimadhë, a picture-perfect beach divided by a rocky formation. The untouched nature and astonishing biodiversity of southern Albania have extensive opportunities for active adventures and are only a couple of minutes away. Staff at Roots is consistently warm and accommodating. On hand to help you plan out your days, whether you’re keen to visit the surrounding villages, coast-hop until sundown on a private cruiser, or suggest the best fish restaurants, they’ll do their utmost to help create the itinerary you want.
